Trish Thalman | Pierre Zuppiroli

Pierre Zuppiroli is, as his name would imply, half French, half Italian and lives near Lake Geneva in the Haute-Savoie region of the northern French Alps. He is a certified European Mountain Leader and speaks English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Qualified as an agricultural engineer and specialised in alpine flora, Pierre has chosen to be a professional mountain leader to live his life with the mountains and share his passion for regional animal and plant life. It is this passion that makes him both an expert leader and enthusiastic teacher with whom you will learn about indigenous flora and fauna, including the humans!

Although Pierre has taken clients exploring all over the world he always returns to his native France and beloved Alps. He has thorough knowledge of higher mountain trails, paths, lakes and comfortable mountain cabins in the Haute-Savoie region. In addition, he has extensive knowledge of the less traveled trails in spectacular areas where he leads two day excursions which include overnight accommodation.

Pierre is on the board of FERUS (Latin for all that is wild) which is France's largest and most important wolf, bear and lynx conservation association.
