Trees and Woods
Half-Day Walking Tour
What are the native trees of the region? What are the traditions and uses of the different types of wood and forest products in Geneva? Why is the Allondon River so important to the Canton of Geneva?
Many people are familiar with the local trees and their magnificent autumn colours. Few people know how to recognise these trees in the winter, or have knowledge about the modern and historical use of the trees and forests in the region
Autumn is a wonderful time of the year for a walk in the beautiful forests and protected reserves of the Lake Geneva area.
A DIFFERENT VIEW invites you to join us on a half-day tour – 4 hours - from Mid-October to Mid-November. Learn how to identify local trees, discover the beautiful colours of the season and stroll beside special paths and less populated routes along the banks of the Allondon River.
There are even seasonal berries, plants and nuts to learn about……and taste!
