Botanical Tours
From the end of May through the month of July, the mountains and valleys of the Haute Savoie and Rhone Alps region are extravagantly lush with a rainbow of vibrantly coloured and softly scented flowering plants, herbs, bushes and trees.
A DIFFERENT VIEW provides specialised botanical discovery day trips in the Chamonix Valley for individuals and small groups of 6 people.

Meet the flowers and discover the use of wild plants:
The Great Balcony of Chamonix
Departure from Le Col des Montets (1461m) above Argentière. A (use moderate) walk to discover the flowers and plants in the area of Mont-Blanc and its summits.
A camera is your most important piece of equipment. The Grand Balcony is truly one of the best places to view and learn about alpine flowers. Spend a pleasant few hourswith magnificent views of the largest glaciers and highest peak in Europe We’ll have lunch and learn about the use of the wild plants found near the Chalets des Cheserys (2000m). There is always the option to extend this hike allowing us to see some of the wild animals of the area: perhaps chamois, marmots or mountain goats. A day of fabulous views, and time to see plants and animals.
